First off: This item works as intended, it can output a stable voltage with the input and output ranges as described. The bad things: 1. If input voltage should fall below aber 3.5 Volts (think of single empty LiPo cell) the output Voltage jumped from setting of 9 Volts up to 12 and 14 Volts. 2. The efficiency is very bad: First test: Input 11 Volts, Output 7,55 Volts (@1,81 Amps) is only 72% efficient and gets very hot (6 Watts of heat loss, good heat sink required!) Second test: Input 12 Volts, Output 18,5 Volts (@1,81 Amps) this too is only 72% efficient and is unusable for more than a few seconds. (13 Watts lost in heat!). If you buy this consider that you should only use it for low power applications.
