This is the 10th radio kit that I have assembled and the 8th one to work!;) The LCD display is defective, but the radio works perfectly! The lack of instructions is a hindrance and they don't tell you that you should use cellophane tape to hold the switch "patches" as they call them or tops to the PCB. Also, the supplied wire is poor quality-you are much better off supplying your own, which I did. Lastly, the CF1 and CF2 parts are polarized and one must ensure that the dot on these parts lines up with the segmented segment on the PCB. Be sure to take your time soldering the IC's and be sure to heat sink the two transistors prior to soldering. My dollars worth:)-Gearhead222
