This little soldering iron is perfect to work on electronic boards (not suited for heavy metalwork). It heats up in a very short time, the ceramic heating element ensures a reliable insulation from mains AC and it can take any 900-series soldering tip. Its quality-to-price ratio is hard to beat: I wish I had bought one before! NOTE: the regulating knob actually controls the THERMAL POWER OUTPUT -- in other words, it is NOT a thermostat. The (very small!) printed values are the approximate final tip temperatures when power only dissipates in normal free air.
