Now i've never used a pasta maker before so i have no prior experience on quality or function. But after some quick internet research on how to make pasta this thing made it like a dream. it can make the flat sheets from think to all the way down to too thin, it can make big fettuccine, small fettuccine and spaghetti. To release work stress i like to need up sound dough and make some pasta for lunch it's a really soothing and enjoyable experience. The only things i found odd or irritating was the wrapping over the stainless steel was all stuck up in the joins and cannot remove these tiny bits, and the noise it makes BUT that noise could be all pasta makers. FYI for really basic pasta (not the best) 1 egg to every 100g of flour pinch salt and dash olive oil. need till velvet and not tacky add flour as needed.
