Just buy it. My hiking partner spent close to $80 on a headlamp that isn’t half as good as this one. I’ve run mine on the second brightest setting (with 2 2800mAh 18650’s) for close to an hour total and it hasn’t dimmed yet. the biggest problem with this style of headlamp has always been balance... I added a couple pieces of adhesive foam to the back of the lamp assembly and that completely fixed the issue. The battery contacts are recessed pretty far so flattop 18650’s have a hard time making a good contact.
