I purchased it to build an RF Link device to my home automation project. The transmitter works fine with arduino mega, you can use the 5V from the board to supply the board, The receiver seems to be sensitive, i replaced the antenna with a 17cm long simple wire to extend the covered area. I can control all 433MHz devices in my house, also can read the data from various weather stations. This package is recommended, if you want to do something similar!
