This is a very compact thrower with a very strong high quality LED that is not domed, i.e. it has no mounted lense on its emitter, for highest output. I compared it with another strong thrower and the Astrolux S2 is much more compact, yet has an even better focus. I pointed the flashlights at objects in 100 and 170 meter distance, and the Astrolux S2 can still illuminate these objects without any problem. If you are looking for an ultra strong and yet ultra compact thrower, this is your flashlight. Note: one of the photos shows the other thrower that I compares the Astrolux S2 with, and another photos shows the Astrolux S1 in comparison with the S2, both ordered at banggood.
