I tried the AVD06X in my home. It is more or less a tool for passively sniffing 50 Hz electromagnetic radiation from live AC power circuits. It does what it promises - the only nasty thing is - the beeper is loud - louder than I would prefer to have it. If you check 1 or 3 sockets - or check if your electronic distribution board is really offline - that is "OK". But if you check 40 sockets to find the bad one - which is not live - that is not fun. I use it a VARTA Ultra Lithium 9V battery - as despite the banggood description - there is no battery included. (I read the costumer reviews and knew that this would be the case.) This Li SOCl2 battery will probably outlast this tool. If the battery case would have been 1mm deeper it would have been possible to store the unconnected battery in it. (I am a strong disbeliever in the effectiveness of power switches on battery usage in "switched off" devices...) That is why I go for a four star rating. In my personal view the AVD06X is good for its purpose (also the VDE doesn't like those tools) with some minor annoyances.
