Have used these modular rectifiers for a welder before and they work very well. I would suggest going for a unit well above the expected power rating to give some headroom (this 150amp unit for a 100amp load). I think the important thing is to mount them on a good sized aluminium heat sink using some heat transfer paste and preferably have a fan blowing air over them. As long as the unit is kept cool it should give good service at a price well below the cost of a bridge made from four separate diodes. A neat and cost effective solution to high current rectifier.
