Very good for small circuit board inspection. The stand may get in the way of larger items. The magnification is overstated sales talk. The optical magnification is about 12.5X and you can digitally magnify this to 25X and 50X. The 12.5X is usually enough for close circuit inspection and sometimes 25X can help. 50X can be fuzzy and focusing the image can be difficult because of the stand stability. 25X and 50X digital magnification is not available when viewing with USB on a computer. When using USB, resolution is 640X480.
