Works well with an automotive 12V battery. There were no instructions. At one stage I thought that the device was damaged when there was no reaction pressing the key. Solution: Press until the device beeps. Changing power level is done in the same way that is a long press. The LED blinks 1, 2, 3 times depending on the power level. I succeeded to weld nickel strips to ordinary steel, stainless steel and HSS-steel. No luck welding Nickel to brass ;) . Still checking which materials are compatible. Conclusion: Nice simple machine.
