This is a good looking easy to use accurate marking rule, quite easy to slide along the workpiece to draw an accurate mark out line. The two brass knobs tighten the rule down to a piece of hardwood fence, however, it is crucial to regularly test the tool for square, and use the knobs to loosen the blade for calibration. The blade is made of extremely thin metal making sighting your line easy, however, it is also extremely easy to dent, especially if you put another tool on top of it. Overall though a good tool for the price which gets plenty of use.
