In order to get this to work with my Sony Xperia Z5 compact (and probably other water resistant phones) you have to set up the receiver in a specific way. I use Go Fpv. Plug the receiver into the phone. launch app ( go Fpv) phone will not find receiver as a USB camera with everything still connected re boot phone. It all will now work OK. On the Sony this is due to the port not detecting anything that does not have a memory card and only requires power.
