It works amazingly well for the price. The UI could be better especially for its modulation function. You can't change channel 2 waveform on the fly when channel 1 is in modulation mode. In terms of build quality, some salvaged parts are used "under the hood", such as the red NEC relays. It would be better if the manufacturer could stick to all new parts. It comes with a bnc-bnc cable and a pair of bnc-alligator cables, all with proper 50 ohm coax. There are tutorials online on how to modify it to get even higher drive strength. More than enough for general hobbyists.

  • ghull07 It would be nice if they offered a version with all virgin new parts. But the price would have to reflect that and I don’t think most hobbyist would be happy with that trade off. It’s an incredible device for the price. And I sure as hell wouldn’t want the responsibility of designing and building such a consistent and nice instrument, for such a cheap price. Especially considering most of the folks buying it are going to terret down and critique every last solder bridge. That’s no excuse for dishonesty or lack of quality… I’m just saying I wouldn’t want to be the seller/designer. It would be like cooking for Gordon Ramsay or something.. selling cheap hobbyist grade electronic test equipment to discerning obsessive electronics hobbyists.
