Ebla The excavations in Ebla, 60 kilometers south of Aleppo in northern Syria, by an archaeological mission of the University of Rome La Sapienza, brought sensational discoveries, among which stands out the discovery of the Royal Archives where 17,000 were found between whole tablets and fragments. The tablets are made of clay and have various dimensions: some are large, square in shape; others, smaller, are round. There are administrative, economic, historical, juridical and religious texts. They are written in cuneiform characters.

Ebla Gli scavi ad Ebla, a 60 chilometri a sud di Aleppo nella Siria settentrionale, ad opera di una missione archeologica dell’Università di Roma La Sapienza, ha portato ascoperte sensazionali, tra le quali spicca il ritrovamento dell’Archivio Reale dove sono state trovate 17.000 tra tavolette intere e frammenti. Le tavolette sono in argilla e hanno varie dimensioni: alcune sono grandi, di forma quadrata; altre, più piccole, sono rotonde. Vi sono testi amministrativi, economici, storici, giuridici, religiosi. Sono scritte in caratteri cuneiformi.
