The device was unusually well packaged and arrived without damage. I'm missing some small manual. Some link in the item description to an electronic version would be fine. When I turn on the device it does "beep" from time to time. Direct sunlight saturate the device and I learned that this is an expectable behaviour. Proper light shield is need when used in direct sunlight or strong artifical light. I haven't found any suitable radiation source areound yet to test how it responds.
