Obviously nowhere near as as bright as the 300+watts rating suggests but ideal for attaching to shed or house wall for spot illumination. Night operation modes are (1) normally off with pir sensing at full power (2) normally low light with pir sensing at full power (3) normally mid power with no pir action or (4) totally off. Timed pir operation is about 20 seconds. Seems to be robustly made and fits securely into it's wall bracket. Position can be adjusted from horizontal to approx 70 degrees up. PIR operates at about 3 metre range at normal room temperature. When operated with a raised elevation take care to position the lamp to ensure solar panel has an adequate exposure to light. I fitted mine so that the solar panel is above the shed roofline. All round rather pleased with purchase and consider the lamps to be good value for money. .
