Ordered 2 of these; one didn't work but I found a bad solder connection on the decoder that I fixed and this resolved the issue. I had trouble finding Arduino code that made it work properly; there seemed to be bad bouncing issue as one click would sometimes cause 2 increases/decreases in the counter and sometimes only 1. Look for "Improved Arduino Rotary Encoder Reading" on Instructables for code that will work nicely. Note that the + pin has to be powered in spite of what the Instructable says; I connected it to 5V on the Nano I used. This decoder is now in use in one of my projects!
