This is a quality toolpost and one I am very please with so far. The tools are of a quality construction and the post holds things rock-steady. It does not fit the Myford ML10's stud by default as this is slightly larger than the M10 but a new stud can be purchased from a UK store online, but the base needs to ne turned down in depth by about 1.4mm as it's designed for the ML7. The holders are great quality and while I felt the adjustment screw was fiddly it does the job. my only regret now is not buying more holders 😂 Top job Machifit and I hope you produce a sine bar now, maybe a more extensive range of gauge blocks too!

  • BG143653418 Whatsize tools can you use with this? I've tried a similar toolpost on my ML10 and I can't use 8mm tooling, at best it would be 6mm I think.

    But maybe this is because the toolholder has a gap of around 6-7mm underneath it- it does not go to the very bottom of the toolpost.

    If this toolpost fitted on the ML10 and allowed me to use 8 or 10mm tooling I'd be very happy!

  • Oliver King @BG143653418 Iam using a mix but I can fit a 10mm insert tooling there just about. You could always grind some of the compound slide away as there is plenty of meat on it to increase capacity. The only caveat is the parting blade cannot be used due to the built in rake angle.
