When using the radio Baofeng UV-9R plus with its original antena I could trasmit over distance around 3-6 km in variable terrain. Then I bought this longer antena, but it did not fit directly in my radio. Nevertheless I grinded the plastic end of the antena by cca 1 mm and now it fits well. With the longer antena I could reach about 9 km in variable terrain (no direct visibility). Overall I am satisfied with the result.
