Exactly as shown in the photo. The tweezers grip well and do the job. Maybe a bit pricey for what you get, but it's not exactly an expensive item, so go pick one up if you want to keep your fingers clean and cool. I use mine for grabbing toast out of the toaster. An extravagance, I know.

I purchased this item to be used to remove toast bread from the toaster. It works great especially when I toast English Muffins which are usually smaller then a slice of bread and hard to get out of the toaster without getting my fingers burnt. I did make one modification to the tweezers, I added a small piece of a bamboo stick to open the space between the tongs to fit better around the toast bread.
