Entrambi gli strumenti hanno doppio connettore RJ45 e RJ11 L'interruttore in posizione 1 fa lo scan veloce delle coppie, in posizione 2 la scansione dei cavi è lenta. I led sono versi e se le coppie sono sbagliate diventano rossi. Esistono differenti versione di tester, questa è la NS-468 Funzionamento con pila a 9 volt, non inclusa.
