I purchased this as a gift for one of New York's finest. He was very happy to get it. The build quality of the light looks very good. It has a high end feel to it. The light is incredibly bright on turbo mode and good brightness in the regular modes. According to the directions, I should be able to access the strobe instantly from the side button. That only seems to work once the flashlight is turned on. The way it's described in the directions, it seems that you should be able to access that mode even if the light is off. Maybe I'm just not doing it right. It also would have been nice if it came with a battery.As far as how it will hold up? Time will tell. It's going to spend its time on the mean streets of New York, so I'm sure I'll hear if it fails!

I get a new battery 18650 and I connect, put it in the flashlight and connect it to charge, but it never charges even if it turns on the blue light
