This amazing tester belongs on the workbench of every electronics hobbyist! It's remarkable that it can not only show the parameters of the component being tested, but it also determines what the component is, all by itself. I have used this tester to check out resistors, capacitors, inductors, bipolar transistors, J-FETs, and diodes. The kit assembles very easily, if you are skilled at soldering small through-hole parts. The PCB is silk-screened with component designators and values. A magnifying glass will be very useful when sorting through and identifying the supplied parts. I had also used an ohmmeter to verify the resistors, but that wasn't really necessary, as all of the parts supplied were correct and brand new. The tester worked the first time I pressed the test button. Having the 9V battery connector is a nice feature. Thanks for a great product!
