I didn't expect much from this kit, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's very limited bandwidth makes it useful for audio and low rate pulse detection, so it's not a lab quality scope. It's a bit noisy, but calibration is pretty good and the quirky control panel gives you all the basic adjustments. The instructions were OK, but I did mount one header and the calibration signal terminal on the wrong side of the board and had to remove and resolder them. Also be careful you attach the rotary encoder to the correct side of it's pc board. You're left to your own devices when it comes to choosing the correct screws for the various components. Best bet is to do an assembly dry run before you start soldering anything if you're not 100% sure where things should go. Assembly took about an hour, including fixing the 2 errors I made and what seemed like forever on my hands and knees searching for the screw i didn't drop on the floor after all.
