These are a nice upgrade for the SMAX. They bolt right on with no problems. They come with very little oil though so plan on rebuilding them with silicone shock oil of your choice. Also I recommend taking off the lower cap and lubing the o rings and spacer to make sure these shocks are extra smooth.Be sure to hold onto your stock SMAX shocks the Caps can be used on these aluminum shocks if you want to change cap colors and the shafts are exactly the same so they can be used as spares.
