The T26 Soldering Station arrived reasonably quickly and after a quick test all appears OK. It certainly heats up really quickly. For UK users the 2 pin mains plug cable supplied is not recommended according to the instructions supplied with the machine. In the english section of the instructions, it states on Page P08 "The product USES a three-wire grounded plug... use a gounded three-wire power cord" So why does it come with two pins or are the instructions wrong? I had a spare 3 pin mains cable (electric kettle style), which saved the day for me to get it working, but I'll have to buy another main cable to use in the future. In my opinion this machine is let down a little by the mains cable supplied, otherwise I'm happy with it...

PoppyAnn Germanplugs only have two pins but are still grounded, the ground connection is made on the side of the plug when you plug them in the main part of the plug gets pushed into the socket where the ground connection is made on devices that are double insulated just use the two pins but still use the same socket but do not make a connection with the ground, here in UK we have lots of items that do not have a ground connection but still use the same 3 pin plug but if you open the plug you will find there is no wire going to the ground connection.
