I tested this with a LED. The way it works is it will close the circuit as soon as the litter barrel is in vertical position (wires facing down). It is a analog device, so shaking it will cause it to flick on and off, but for simple project it does the job. Also, the board is not necessary needed , the golden barrel can be soldered directly into the circuit making it very compact!
