You would need to use a clamp meter to know for sure. Have your thoughts on this unit changed since you go it?

Yes my unit is awefull, the company is aware of the problems and tries to fix it with firmware updates, but mine never worked as intended and shorted itself some day.
Just build your own cc-cv psu/charger with a cheap buck converter, current meter display and an ac-dc converter, it's way better.
