I ordered this chassis as 1:1 replacement for the stock one of my A959. It looks good and solid so I try to rebuild my A959 on this chassis. This will not work out out of the box there is some rework needed or you need to buy more update parts. Here are some issue I had: The major issue is the the drilled holes for rod mount the suspension arms is about 1mm to low. The result is that the stock (plastic) suspension arms will no longer fit. It seems that the full metal updates fit this situation (I ordered them but still backordered so I can't fully prove) but you than will have a asymmetric mounted suspension... I don't like it. Second issue I found is that the chassis is about 1mm shorter than the stock one so your main shaft is to long. So you likely will have to shorten yours or you will hear stage noise from the differentials. Additionally the cover plate for the shaft will not fit perfectly. Third minor issue: The mount for the servo is to high this time you have 1mm space between the servo and the chassis. While steering the servo motor is moving up and down and make some clicking noise. Fourth minor issue: There is not enough space mount the controls unit (ESC and receiver). As I plan to upgrade the car to Brushless motor I didn't care about this fact. Anyway you will have to find a solution. Sixth issue this one should be mentioned as well: The pins for mounting the steering linkage are - again - a little bit sort. As the mounting sockets that comes with the cassis are not fixed it may happen that the pins lost track and steering is badly influenced. Either you need to fix the sockets on chassis or try to get longer pins. Some other things I found but not treat as an issue: The dust cover for the reduction gear and the motor do not fit. Even with cover you have always some dust and sand that will get into the gears so if you keep it open it's much faster and easier to to clean it. I had updated my one with steel gears so they will last a little bit longer. Summery: This is a really nice looking stable and massiv chassis that will add some extra weight to you car. The weight is good as you will have a more "grounded" car which will advance the handling. On the other hand do not expect that you can replace the chassis 1:1 there is a lot of rework that needs to be done. To solve most of the stuff I designed some extra parts for 3D printing e.g. to level the suspension mounting and the diffs. I may post them when finished.
