Very useful if you already have a camera tripod. I had one like the one in the product picture that I was not really using and this adapter allows me to put my 9.7 inch tablet at eye level. It's much better than having the tablet screen at the desk level, your neck will be less stressed. As seen on the picture, you can mount a 9.7" tablet horizontally and it is kept perfectly in place. The soft pads on the back hold the tablet smoothly and without it sliding to the sides.
