First impressions are that I am Pretty impressed with the unit. Spent some time learning the menu controls, and replacing some components on a dual sided pcb. The handle is ok, and knife point tip makes short work of larger components. The heating element/tip is held in a more traditional way, with a nut and sleeve. The tip doesn't just slip in and out of the handle, and maybe that is a good thing. I used the iron about 40 minutes, and the handle may have been warm, but not uncomfortable in any way. Pleased with the unit so far.
