NeBan Yes the r9m is an additional 900mhz long range module beside the internal 2.4ghz module.

Q: Is this tuned for 868MHz or 915MHz?

NeBan unfortunately the super 8 is tuned for 900Mhz, so it's able to match 868 to 915 Mhz. But a tuned antenna for 868Mhz or 915Mhz would be way better. The Super 8 matches the 915Mhz Frequency better, because it's closer to 900. But as i have heard, FrSky is working on a special 868Mhz Antenna.
