Jack57 Max voltage is 60v and there should not be any power dissipation issue so Yes, there is no problem with 24 volts

Q: How is this wired on an Anet A8? Also, does it come with instructions on how high up to install (I already have the bracket with a hole for M18 printed)?

Jack57 The anet A8 motherboard has a 3 pin connector that correspond to the 3 wires of the proximity detector. Go to YouTube for detailed info on how to do it and do not forget to change the firmware also.
