Q: It is toy category drone or not

Asked by tommy2 on 2019-08-17 10:46:20

DrRadium That is going to depend entirely on the laws of the country it is being flown in. Usually the categories are based on weight. With battery, this weighs 525g (about 1 lbs 2.5oz). In the U.S., that is not low enough to avoid FAA registration in the USA (under 250g). Not that it affects the class, but keep in mind that this is based on the MJX bugs3 which has not been made for several years, some key parts, for example the airframe of the drone, are not available anywhere, If it breaks, there is no way to buy just that part.

Q: where can I find a spare battery

Asked by Pauls on 2019-06-25 08:24:43

DrRadium You can make them. I describe how in my review. Its easy and you get to use a much larger capacity battery. You could also just pop the case open carefully and place wires wires directly on the DC inputs of the video unit and forget about casting the mock battery interface I made. Just make sure to keep the correct polarity as I show in the pictures associated with my review. There probably is no reverse polarity protection , though you could add diodes when attaching wires if you wanted to add it. You just need a standard 7.4V 2S lipo to provide power. There is nothing special about the stock battery pack and JJRC could sell them at a reasonable price and still make big profits.

Q: Hi can Huawei P20 Pro support this system?

Asked by ZalGracia on 2018-08-17 06:02:06

DrRadium despite what is blindly posted to each question about a phone working, don't think that passing the suggested OTG or UVC checks means it will work. If they *don't* pass these checks then they definitely will *not work*. But the reverse isn't true at all. A positive UVC result doesn't tell you that it will. It means that either it will work, or you will get a never ending, frustrating connect/disconnect dance that cannot easily be fixed. I have yet to find anyone on any forum who reports solving this issue. Unless someone specifically reports that your phone model has been tested to work. it is a gamble. Sorry. If you find your phone does, please let people here know.

DrRadium I've yet to find a single person who made a phone that didn't work at first work. Even Obi-wan can't provide us any hope.
