I bought this for a winter build and didn't expect it to be a straightforward build and fly project. I've built a lot of small own design warbirds and have learned by my mistakes. The obvious problems were that the wing spars aren't strong enough and needed to be reinforced with webbing between the ribs. Don't bother making the wings detachable, join them with a 1.5mm plywood brace and put about 1 inch dihedral in all 3 wings. The wing interplane struts are reinforced with an carbon strip and make plywood strut attachment points on each wing. I replaced the carbon strips in the build with balsa to lighten it. The tailplane needs a little reinforcing. The 1350 3s lipo fits into a battery compartment cut into the front bulkhead, this allows it to go right up to the front of the cowl. I put bigger wheels on it, as I fly off of grass. Fitted a 2830 motor, 30a esc and a 9x6 propeller. 70g of lead needed in the nose to achieve CG and achieved a flying weight of 800g. It lifts off the ground almost immediately as this type of small plane will not taxi on grass, they tip onto their nose too easily. Its a great little flyer but difficult to land as it either tips onto its nose on faster landings or tip stalls if landing too slow. The first flights caused all the 5g servos to strip gears as they are not strong enough to cope with the rough landings. I've replaced then with SG90 ones. Not recommended unless youv'e got building experience and understand were places need to be made stronger. Highly recommended for the more experienced builder who likes a challenge on how to get one of these models to fly.
