Item received was of very high quality. the e-ink refresh rate is variable and only updates on temperature change. Open the back panel to access the °C/°F unit button. Manual is in Chinese. Comes with pictured stand. Accurate to ≈1/10 of a degree.

Q: a statement mentions it is glass fibre. Is this not dangerous as glass fibres will be left in areas they should not and there is a chance of a glass fibre penetrating your skin??

mistercbax Definitely fiberglass. Having worked with it I can tell it is. Do not use on items that you will be eating from and wear gloves when using this. Always clean the work area after using this.

Arrived just as described. Keep in mind it uses the SMD package instead of DIP. The ICSP pins were bent during shipping but bent back just fine.

Amazing craftsmanship feels great in the hands. Could use a smaller tri-wing bit but other than that all the important security bits are included. The pop open case has to be the coolest design I've seen.

The bag that comes included is not washable which makes drinking anything other than water a bit of a hassle. Mine still had a bit of grease on them from the machining process so it's best to wash them with soap before first use.

Just put it together tonight. The instructions are clear and are in good english. Only took me about 20 mins to put it together. If you've never soldered before this may not be a good first project for you as the number of components could be overwhelming. The kit includes threaded screws and nuts instead of stand-offs. But it does come with extra nuts you can use to stand-off the pcb from the bottom case.
