Q: Why do they call it a walkie talkie when in fact it is a Ham radio and requires a license to transmit on in the US. It shoud be noted in the description that it is illegal to transmit on it without a license.

clks07 This is the walkie-talkie, my friend. Maybe it have the function seem like the Ham radio, but it is the real walkie talkie.

cyerger Goodto see that an actual licensed individual is buying this. I hate seeing them advertised as walkie talkies. I have been using one for 3 years now on my packet station. 73, N0CVG

As per my previous Baofeng uv5r this is same and original product. I checked in all aspect and found very good. One of the best product of baofeng. This time US adopter has been given so few bugs expenses and bought converter plug and now all things working. First of all I charged it to its full and then testing started. In good condition its coverage area has more than 10 Kms in TX High mode I tested it from my 2nd floor's roof. Overall very awesome product. Thanks Banggood.

Q: Can UV-5r accessories be used on this? Maybe a bit more details would really help..

cyerger Yes, the uv82 and the UV5R use the same Kenwood mic so your hand mic and programming cables are the same however the chirp program or RTSystems program require version for UV82. Remember to transmit you must have an amater radio license of atlest technician class in the US

These are a lot brighter than I expected them to be but I do recommend using a constant current regulator with these along with mounting them on either heat resistant surface or using a heatsink with them as they get very hot and would not recommend mounting them on any surface without some sort of protection.

I really like this mat. It has a non slip grip to it which helps holds parts when working on them and the little indents at the top are nice to put those small screws that always seem to roll everywhere when doing a job. Would definitely recommend

This is very light weight and thin. You can not cut on it. It has a warning printed right on it do not use with knives which pretty much defeats the whole purpose of buying it
