Q: What is the heatsink requirement?

Asked by scotthepler on 2018-08-25 07:07:13

banggoodcom Forthe 50W "White" (NOT "warm white" model) COB LED model, 220 V/50 Hz powered, screwed to an aluminium square passive heat sink of 100*100*18 mm (with 16 wings of a length of 18 mm at the back), without forced air flow (= no fan), I get 99° Celsius (210°F) after only 2 minutes working. It keep this temperature during all the working moment. I didn't find the thermal specs for this product, but I suppose that over 60°C, it won't stay alive for a long time.
