Q: can you connect crossfire, or only sbus?

Asked by dylan on 2019-03-30 01:39:25

RcCharly technically it's possible to connect crossfire, it's just not really designed for it. spare UART is available but hard to solder to connector on vtx piece, otherwise on small pads, there's a topic on RC groups on it.

Q: Ridiculous price points seing the size and parts used for this one

Asked by Amiraditya on 2021-04-15 10:17:17

RcCharly So don't buy it. I suppose you spend only the sum of all components' value on everything you buy :). Also, you value the innovation and testing behind this product at zero. I usually build my own too, but there's lots of people who prefer prebuilt and this concept is completely new, kudos to Dave C, he should get credit for innovating and getting people into FPV, I might buy one just because of that. Looks like a solid product too.

Well, I'm an fpv pilot and quad builder, mainly, with about 4 years experience. This was a present for my brother, to try and wake his interest for the hobbies (fpv and aerial photography aren't the same thing obviously). I ordered a different one (jjrc x16) to compare and I was quite impressed with this EX3. first of all, quality perception is WOW. Nice design, well built, arms have no wobble, all seems high quality and the weight is proportional to that. Also, performancewise it's great: over 20 minutes on a battery, holds GPS perfectly and handles wind no problem due to big and stroke motors, I believe they would be enough to freestyle 😉. Secondly: ease of use, my brother didn't find any problems in handling his first flight, and even my 4 & 5 year old kids had a go mid air and returning to home, perfect landing every time. Camera is good enough for initial experience, both photos and videos, but obvious lack of stabilization means you will want to add a sports cam soon. Thanks for including servotilt. Good anti vibration grommets by the way, when comparing to the X16... Huge difference, although it's not stabilization. overall, would buy more, I think it's a great gift for people with little to no experience with drones/quads without the need of investing ten times more. I would request one single thing: there's a card in the box saying an Amazon review is worth an extra battery (they don't come in cheap, so great deal). I would suggest to add Banggood to that: I choose Banggood over Amazon whenever I can, and I think these little things will help improve everyone's experience and perception of quality. Overall, good job!

RcCharly don't know, but you can always put generic batteries in, just look at size & connector to match up
