Even though it is low resolution, I think by moving it around and looking at different areas, near and far, you would see gaps or leaks if they are obvious and leaking energy. Depends on the size of the leaks. The trick is to have marked changes in temperature. The cone of view I think is fairly wide, 60 degrees on some, so being close does help but it can be moved easily. I am not sure there is a limit to how far it sees, I think hot and cold would show up, like the sun for instance or a fire across the street but I do not own one or work for the company. See More
